What I Wore... Sunday Edition

I have never been a "dress kind of girl."  I feel so much more comfy in jeans and a tshirt.  Ok let's be honest.... workout pants!  But, I do appreciate being able to dress up on Sunday for church.  Sometimes I even look forward to putting on that skirt/dress...especially when I get a new one!
As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I am completely obsessed with Jane.com lately.  That is where I got this skirt.  The problem with ordering clothes online is you never know how they're really gonna fit.  Is it going to be too big or too small?  Too short or too long?  Sometimes you hit the jackpot and it's perfect!  That's the case with this skirt.  I love the fit AND it's long enough!

I was having a hard time trying to decide what I was going to wear it with.  My chambray shirt was kind of clashing with the blue, and I didn't have a good white button up shirt.
I remembered that I bought a white v neck shirt from Old Navy that had a little bit of blue in it and because this skirt is high waisted, I knew I had to wear a top I could tuck in.  I was not born with a waist :)  I am pretty boxy so I wanted to make sure whatever I tucked in didn't add bulk.  I tried this shirt on and it worked perfectly!  Thanks Old Navy!

Even though I was loving this outfit, I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone... you know, a high waisted skirt that I tied a bow in the front, and a shirt that I had tucked in.  When I arrived at church, I received so many compliments!  All of the insecurities quickly went away and I will definitely be wearing this skirt again soon!  In fact, I want it in black and white also!

Now lets talk about my cute little girl.  Isn't this outfit adorable?!  And we kind of match!  I've really been wanting a skirt for me, and Ashtyn from Shelley Bee Originals and this was on one of her Instagram sells.  I was the first person to respond so I got it!  (I also got a cute skirt for me!)  I had picked this shirt up on sale from Old Navy a while ago and loved how perfectly it went together!  Ashtyn also got A LOT of compliments on her cute little outfit.
