Toddler Lunch Ideas

I am totally finding myself in a chicken nugget/mac and cheese rut for my kids.  And the bad thing is, my kids are good eaters... I mean my 3 year old loves broccoli!  So I feel horrible that I'm offering her these uber processed food instead of being happy that she'll eat anything.  My 15 month old is the same way!  So I went scouring for some good lunch ideas and decided to share what I found.

Peguin Lunch from BentOnBetterLunches
Love how she uses a muffin tin to switch it up!

Flip Flop Lunch from BentOnBetterLunches
Ok is this not the cutest idea ever?  Perfect for summer picnics!

One of my favorites!

Pear and Avocado Sandwich from Parenting.com
I LOVE avocados and so do my kids.  I sometimes use apples instead of pears.

     Frozen Lunch from BentoBetterLunches
This is such a cute idea!  A "Frozen" inspired lunch!

Quesadillas from Simmworks Family
They don't always have to be cheese and chicken

Banana Split Pancake Muffin from iPackLunch
Love that it's gluten free
The recipe for the muffins are at the bottom of her post

      Sandwich Rolls from iPackLunch
Switch things up a bit my rolling your sandwich!

Sandwich On A Stick from Keeley McGuire
Another Gluten Free lunch!

Spinach Scrambled Eggs from Yellow Dandy

Hope this gets you out of your lunch rut!  After finding all these fun ideas, I've actually looked forward to lunch time!

Here are a couple of other charts I found that were beneficial...

Hellobee has this awesome chart!
This way you can make sure your little one is getting a little something from each food group. Check out their site for other ideas.

Heres another great resource from Jaclyn Day
She offers some great tips and even recommends a couple of great cookbooks.

  1. I'm also guilty of making my toddler have congee with whatever I can find in the fridge, almost on a daily basis. So thanks for the new ideas!
