Dave and I have been married for almost 8 years now, and in those 8 years, I've always worked nights teaching dance and cheer. You could say cooking has never been high on my priority list. I was lucky enough to marry a man who didn't mind cooking, or was fine with simple dinners (like hot dogs). Since quitting my job in May, I've been trying to be better at cooking. My goal is to cook at least 3 times a week. I've never liked cooking and I've never been really good at it. My mom is an awesome cook, and I was a busy teenager, so I didn't have to cook while living at home very often. And truthfully, the hardest part for me is the preparation to cook. When I'm hungry, I'm hungry and I want to eat now, not wait for something to be made. On the other hand, if I'm not hungry, the last thing I want to do is start preparing a meal. Ok now that I'm writing this, I realize how selfish that sound. :(
So I've been searching for some great easy recipes that I can use in my rotation of dinners, since I think my hubby and kids are starting to get sick of grilled cheese sandwiches!
